In the forest, I listened to the bones of the living and the dead. This is what I heard:

Will you meet me here? In a meadow between Forest and Ocean, between life and death, between before and after, important and insignificant, between your language and mine.

Will you meet us here in the Between?

Conceived at the onset of the pandemic, after returning from an artist-in residence at Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, The Place Between is a fold out photo book connecting body to place in an ever changing landscape. With a blend of photographs created at Cascade Head and Portland, OR, through the lens of my trans masculine identity, the book reveals the complexity of transition, and celebrates my gender expression as an integral part of the natural environment.
