The Place Between

Conceived at the onset of the pandemic, after returning from an artist-in residence at Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, The Place Between is a fold out photo book connecting body to place in an ever changing landscape.  With a blend of photographs created at Cascade Head and Portland, OR, through the lens of my trans masculine identity, the book reveals the complexity of transition, the sacredness of gender expansive identities, and seeing those expressions as a vital part of the natural environment.

Sized at 5 ¼” x 7 ½” when closed, The Place Between unfolds to include 16 original images unfurling to a full size of 26 ½” x 30 ⅓” 

Each book will include a  5 x 7 card with an additional image, statement, acknowledgements, artist signature, and edition information.  

The Place Between will be printed in two limited editions:

Trade Edition: High resolution scans of original gold leafing digitally printed on 100lb matte white paper with silk coating.
